God calls us to love and care for the orphans and the widows, but it isn’t always easy to find practical opportunities to do so. We have partnered with John and Rhea Hergenrather, who also have a desire to enter into community with others who have a similar passion to look for ways to serve our region in practical and realistic ways. We want to invite you to come do life with us as we seek to be the representatives of God’s justice, bringing wholeness in practical ways to the homeless and the needy

You are invited to join us at Matt and Paula's home near Westside School each Thursday evening this fall for a simple meal and a study of the 'words of Jesus in red' in the bible.  We would like to grow together in our understanding of how Jesus' life and teaching can shape and direct our lives in our complex world today.  We believe that looking together with fresh eyes at the Gospel accounts of Jesus ministry and teaching is essential in this time to ground us on truth we can trust.  We look forward to learning and receiving together from each other and from Jesus' life and words.  We will also be discerning together ways that we can join together in acts of loving service to our neighbors

We will meet every other Sunday evening starting October 2
Does anyone else battle fear when it comes to parenting?  There are so many cultural influences that aim to capture our children, and it can feel like a constant battle as a parent.  However, the Bible tells us there is nothing new under the sun.  God has given us a vast amount of wisdom and instruction in His word on how to raise these children (or grandchildren) that He has entrusted to our care.

In this group, we will be going through the book entitled "Christ Centered Parenting" by Russell Moore and Philip Bettencourt.  Our aim is to study the Bible as a community where we can have open discussions, and support each other as we journey along this parenting road together.  The study is applicable for parents and grandparents of toddlers all the way through young adults. We will have a potluck dinner together as families to start off each meeting, then adults will split off from kids in order to go through the study.  Childcare will be provided with donations collected each week to give to those taking care of our kids.  Please contact us with questions, and we hope to see you there!
